The film "Al-Aar" (The Shame) is part of a trilogy of shared moral themes by writer Mahmoud Abu Zeid and director Ali Abdel Khaleq. It is considered one of the masterpieces of Egyptian cinema. However, in my opinion, the film portrays Kamal, played by the late Nour El-Sherif, as a monster who caused the complete collapse of the family.
