Trains in the 1980s - Oxford Station - 1988
The first visit covered an hour and 20 minutes at Oxford on the afternoon of Friday 20th May 1988. This saw no less than 7 different Class 47s, two Class 58s, a Class 37, but only one Class 50 (045 Achilles). However, this wasn't a bad haul of locos for such a short visit! The second visit was on a Wednesday just before Christmas 1988. This was a shorter timescale, but still saw a Class 47, Class 58, Class 56 and Class 37 in the time we were there.
