Sometimes, in cases of severe Peyronie's disease, which involves penile curvature, three-piece implants may not be possible due to severe calcification within the penis, which we call dense fibrosis. Sometimes, as we have experienced in the past, two-piece or three-piece implants may not be suitable after recovering from electrical burns or after certain problems such as penile rupture. ✨One-piece implants are often preferred by patients because of their cost, as they are considerably lower than other options. Most patients prefer a one-piece implant to none at all due to the cost. 🙌🏼In short, we can say this: the patient and physician decide together which implant will be used. It is important to set expectations together, and here, it is crucial to be realistic, determine which prosthesis is necessary for each patient, and then proceed with the procedure. However, it is crucial to be aware that regardless of the implant, successful results in terms of function have been documented in scientific publications.
