Getting High Speed Flash Sync Above 1/250 sec.

http://photofonz.com Looking at specs of most DSLR & Mirrorless camera bodies, we see sync speeds listed at 1/250 sec. or slower. This video shows how you can set your camera's flash sync speed up to 1/8000 sec. as we demonstrate in the Nikon D7200 and an SB-800 Nikon Speedlight. This can be a useful feature if you need to use flash to match the exposure on your subject with a dramatic daylight sky and you want to use a larger aperture. Even though your reading calls for a 1/500 sec. or faster shutter speed, you can make an adjustment in your camera's settings to allow for a high speed flash sync such as up to 1/8000 sec. as this video shows. You'll also see what happens when using a non compatible flash such as a Quantum Q flash in trying to go beyond the cameras flash sync speed.
