Before anesthesia is administered, an AT might be responsible for cleaning and testing the machines, preparing the instruments and drugs and applying the monitoring equipment. When the patients is under anesthesia, the AT might help ensure that the dosages are adequate, monitor patients’ vital signs or help establish and secure the airway so the patient can breathe easily.
