Golden Age Elderly Homes Uganda: Inspired by Care and Compassion

Veronicah Akankunda's journey began with a heartwarming inspiration. As a young student joining university, she saw her maternal grandmother in need of care and support. Her own mother, the sole caregiver, was struggling to balance it all. When they couldn't find a professional nurse to assist, the seed of an idea was planted – the birth of “Golden Age Elderly Homes Uganda”. Veronica's passion drove her to establish a care home in Uganda, a niche not widely recognized in the country. Her mission wasn't just about providing care but also about training the next generation of caregivers. Their training academy equips students with nursing skills to provide specialized care for the elderly, spreading compassion and support where it's needed most.
