The Shifa-i Sharif is a fundamental work written approximately nine centuries ago by the renowned Andalusian scholar Qadi Iyad to instill love for the Prophet in the hearts of Muslims, to introduce and explain him in all his aspects, and to teach Muslims to defend the rights of the Sultan of the Prophets. From its inception to the present, this work has been commented upon by numerous scholars, and it held a special place in the Ottoman Empire, maintaining a tradition of being taught in madrasas and mosques. The centuries-old tradition of having the Quran recited to the congregation by the Quranic scribes at the Eyüp Sultan Mosque began in the 1920s and was resumed in 2005 by Prof. Dr. M.
