Peter Cornelius - Hampelmann | Austrian TV, 1974

Peter Cornelius is an Austrian singer, songwriter and guitarist. In 1973, he participated in the ORF talent competition "Showchance" and came first with the song "I leb in aner Wolk'n". After this, he became a member of the musical ensemble Hair, which performed in Hamburg and Berlin. In 1980, his album "Der Kaffee ist fertig" (produced by Michael Cretu) brought him his first success as a pop singer outside his home country. His best-known hits include "Reif für die Insel"(1981), "Zwei" (1982), "Ohne Filter / Bevor I geh", "Streicheleinheiten" and "Fata Morgana" (1983) as well as "Süchtig" (1985).
