★ 🇨🇭 Langenthal - St. Urban - Melchnau cab ride, Switzerland (partly demolished) [22.5.2011]

Aare Seeland mobil AG (ASm) operates a half-hourly or hourly train service to St. Urban station and the St. Urban Ziegelei stop, along with two other lines. Passenger service on the line from the St. Urban Ziegelei stop to Melchnau was discontinued on May 22, 1982. Freight traffic occasionally continued to Melchnau. Andreas Perren filmed this line with a specially chartered train. One year after filming, ASm permanently closed this section of the line; the tracks have since been removed and the area renaturalized, making this an historically valuable cab ride.
