Windswept ✨ Fabulous & Fun Transparent Base Sandwich Pour Experiment!

Last week I did a really fun Sandwich Pour with some leftover colors. One of my long time viewers had commented about an idea using the transparent base coat instead of White in the Sandwich Pour. Today I am playing with that concept, and show you everything that happened along the way. I actually ended up doing this pour twice, because I made a few small but important mistakes in the first go around. I wanted to show you that first pour as well, because it illustrates what mistakes not to make. The second pour turned out much better, because I took notes on what happened and then took steps to correct the problems. Im using a 24x30 inch gallery wrapped canvas in the first pour Im using an 18x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas in the second pour Colors for first pour: Golden Prussian Blue Perm Violet Dark Prussian This Little Piggy Comet DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics 24K Gold Amsterdam Titanium White Pouring Medium: Golden Heavy Gel Gloss Floetrol There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. Colors for second pour: Feral Cloud Mix Artists Loft Soft Body White Vallejo Pearl Medium American Floetrol Amsterdam Pearl Blue DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics 24K Gold Transparent Basecoat/ Pouring Medium: Golden Heavy Gel Gloss Floetrol, Water There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. Observations: First Pour Because the cups I was pouring from were very full, when I was layering the cup, some of the paint sunk under the surface, creating a 'dirty cup' rather than a layered cup. What that did to the pour was to create a lot of blending, and spread the color where I didn't necessarily want it to go. Pouring from smaller cups ensures that your cup will be layered, not dirty. Too many dark colors. In the first pour we used dark Prussian blue and Permanent Violet Dark, both very strong and deep colors. I also used a lot of each color while layering. In the second pour, I have minimized the color palette, and I use much less paint while layering because I drizzle it off the stick instead of pouring it. I am a 1000 times happier with the second pour! Thank you all so much for spending your time with us! I hope you enjoyed this video!
