In 2011, at the age of 60, he held a reunion concert for The Stalin and embarked on his own 60th birthday solo tour across the country. Amidst all this, the 3.11 Great East Japan Earthquake struck, and his hometown of Fukushima was hit not only by the earthquake and tsunami but also by a nuclear disaster. Endo, who had previously paid almost no attention to his hometown, launched Project FUKUSHIMA! in his birthplace. He turns his gaze towards his family, the very foundation of his identity, and speaks candidly about his reverence for his father, who fought in fierce battles in Guadalcanal and the Philippines during World War II, and the ambivalent feelings he has for his mother, powerfully expressed in his signature song, "Mom, I've Completely Forgotten Your Face." This film is a road documentary depicting Endo's live performances and his conversations with people along the way.
