How to install a Veritas Alarm Keypad - Step by Step

How to Wire a Remote Keypad to a Veritas Alarm System (8 / R8 / 8C) In this video, I walk you through how to install a Veritas remote keypad onto an existing system—whether it’s a Veritas 8, Veritas R8, or Veritas 8C. The process is exactly the same across all three. I cover the wiring step-by-step, including how to connect the keypad to your alarm panel using a 4-core cable. Below are the terminal connections and colour codes I personally use to keep things simple and consistent: Keypad Wiring Instructions: (Positive): Red core – (Negative): Black core T (Transmit): Yellow core R (Receive): Blue core These wires go directly from the control panel terminals to the matching terminals on the keypad (+ to +, – to –, T to T, R to R).
