P10 to P1 after 1 hour - Karting Genk 100 Miles 7 Nov 24

100 Miles Karting Genk: Home of Champions 7 Nov 2024 Qualify P10/46 Race P3/46 00:03 Start 02:30 Let's Go !!! 10:05 Fastest Lap of the Race 1'09'798 Unlucky with the karts during qualify. Start went OK but kart seriously lacked power so unable to follow the top teams. Came in for the first pitstop after just 10 minutes. Completely cold kart but once it warmed up got into the 1'10's quickly. With consistent fast laps and a fastest lap of 1:09.798, almost 4 tenths faster than everybody else, managed to get to P1 after about 1 hour. Time for Mathias to take over. Unfortunately the kart wasn't very good (1'12s only) so had to come in for another pitstop. Better kart this time and able to keep P2 position until the last lap and the last corner. Finally finished P3 on 2 tenths from P2. Great performance from both drivers !!! Up to the next and final 100 Miles race on 23 November.
