Irish Session Music in Charlottesville and Beyond

My main goal in this project is to show what Irish sessions are like, and to describe their draw. In other words, why do people all over the world gather in Irish pubs and other venues and play a set of standard tunes known around the world, that all originated in Ireland? I attempt in this video to give the layman a view into this session world and why it brings joy to so many people.
