This method is known as "Sapta Pindi" or "Sapta Droni" in the local language. Many devotees call this prasad as “Abhada”. Abadha is a special Prasad offered to Lord Jagannath. Every day, 56 types of Prasad are given to the Lord during worship. Abadha, from this offering, is believed to carry the Lord's blessings and is known for its unique, unmatched taste. The Mahaprasad prepared in the Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha, has many specialties: Water from two wells named Ganga-Yamuna located near the temple is used to prepare it. Mahaprasad is prepared in earthen pots. In the kitchen of the temple, 7 pots are placed one above the other to cook the prasad and everything is cooked on wood. First of all, the offering is made to Mother Parvati and then to Lord Jagannath. After offering the offering, the prasad is given to the devotees in Anand Bazaar. Lord Jagannath is offered six times a day, which includes 56 types of dishes. It is said that prasad is prepared for 20 thousand people every day in the temple, but on festival days this number reaches 50 thousand.
