Demi Lovato & Nick Jonas Discuss Purity Rings & Dating in Revealing Carpool Karaoke

James Corden finally released his carpool karaoke episode with Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas and it’s everything we’ve ever wanted. Step aside, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, Nick and Demi have move all the way to the top of our best celebrity BFFs list and it’s all because of James Corden. From singing and dancing to dishing all of Nick’s Disney dating secrets, this carpool karaoke edition was EVERYTHING. But, before we get into the group’s AMAZING karaoke skills, let’s take a moment to talk about Nick’s little love triangle from way back in the day when he used to date Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. Back then, everyone pretty much had an inkling that Nick was constantly going back and forth between the two girls and luckily for all of us, Demi went ahead and confirmed it all. When the Late Late Show host initiated a conversation about Demi and Nick’s past dating lives, he awkwardly brought up the fact that Demi and Joe dated and then made a comment about Nick dating everyone. At that point, Demi called out Nick on going back and forth between Miley and Selena and when he denied it, Demi then pretty much laid it all out on the line with this: So, thanks for that Demi! Seeing as it is Carpool Karaoke, the group eventually started singing a couple old songs from both Demi and Nick like Heart Attack and Chains, but when it was time to sing Stone Cold, well, let’s just say their rendition was pretty on point and Demi was VERY impressed by James’ vocal abilities. That is a hard song to sing, so kudos to James for trying to hit that high note in front of Demi. At one point during the car ride, the group sang along to DNCE’s Cake by the Ocean – which, is about sex, thanks to the fun fact brought to you by Nick -- and during the song, Nick gave the world the BEST Joe impression ever. Seriously guys, I really don’t think anyone knew they needed that in their lives. Things then got a little too close for comfort when Nick, Demi, and James sang along to Close. But, it looked like that whole ‘close’ move worked out for the best because then the group realized they had something special going on and for the first time in the history of Carpool Karaokes, James, Nick, and Demi all took their talents out of the car and to the streets where they performed as the band JND. They sounded pretty good, right? This entire episode was pretty great, but I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m a tiny bit upset they didn’t do any Camp Rock songs. I mean, it would’ve been great for them to do it during this one, but that can be saved for another time when they come back because we need another Nick and Demi carpool karaoke.
