WIKITONGUES: Soner speaking Laz
Laz is spoken by some 22,000 people, principally in northeastern Turkey and parts of Georgia, in coastal communities along the Black Sea. Though it lacks a written standard, Laz has long been used as a literary language in academic circles, and saw the publication of a formal dictionary in 1999.
