N Scale Southern Pacific in San Francisco

Southern Pacific’s Mission Bay roundhouse below Potrero Hill. Views of steam locomotives and Bayshore Shops’ #966, a (kit-bashed) converted saddle tank 0-6-0. Set in the 50’s and early 60’s, many diesels share the acreage. Fairbanks Morse switchers move about Mission Bay Yard. EMD covered wagons and geeps and SD units are serviced. An overview of the yard ends at the interchange with the California State Belt. An LA to SF piggyback train has arrived under Pacific Gas & Electric’s large gas holder.
