In the discussion segment of the program "Ecclesia al día" on TRECE, together with Raquel Caldas, we wanted to delve deeper into the root of the latest data reflected in the latest "Repara" Report from the Archdiocese of Madrid. Miguel García-Baró is the coordinator of the "Repara" project and explained to us that sexual abuse isn't the only form of abuse; there are many other forms of abuse that take a backseat, such as spiritual abuse, abuse of authority, or abuse of conscience, and that are also carried out: "A person tries to take the place of God. To supplant another person's freedom... This is terrible, and it's understandable that the effects can be as devastating as sexual abuse. This is the end of a chain of abuse. First, you absorb their soul, and then it leads to that, to taking over their body," our guest noted.
