Xa Tong pass on National Highway 6 in the land of Xa Tong commune, and is named after this commune. Many documents use the name of the commune as Sa Tong and the corresponding name of the pass is also called Sa Tong pass. The pass is 25 km long, the top of the pass is about 9 km from the junction with Highway 12 in Muong Lay town and about 60 km from Tuan Giao town.
