On 2025.2.2, during the Spring Festival, Taiwanese artist Da S, who was on vacation in Japan with her family, unfortunately passed away due to complications from contracting influenza, at the age of 48. Da S, whose original name is Xu Xiyuan, debuted in the Taiwanese entertainment industry alongside her sister Xu Xidi in her early years. In 2001, Da S skyrocketed to fame for her role as Shan Cai in Meteor Garden. In 2011, she married mainland rich second-generation heir Wang Xiaofei, and the couple had a son and a daughter; however, they separated in 2021. Comprehensive information indicates that Da S’s death in Japan was most likely due to her family’s underestimation of the pathogenicity of influenza, which led to a delay in treatment.
