TOPGUN vs. Weapons School (WIC): Retired Marine fighter pilot, TOPGUN Instructor, and F-22 Exchange Officer, Dave "Chip" Berke (Echelon Front, author of The Need to Lead), explains the fundamental difference between the Navy's Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and the Air Force Weapons School (WIC). While both schools are similar in the initial phase, Chip explains that TOPGUN focuses on graduating world-class two- and four-ship flight leads for the carrier air wing, whereas WIC (Air Force Weapons School) continues for a much longer period to integrate nearly all assets (Air, Space, Cyber, Low Observable) for massive, multi-domain missions like Operation Midnight Hammer.
