This is a fishing report from the lower reaches of the Miyagawa River in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture. Please enjoy this 54-minute video of my battle with the raging current. Following the previous day's 50-ton water release, the water level was high again on this day, with another 30-ton release. The current was extremely strong, and even after hooking a fish, I was at the mercy of the powerful ayu, resulting in many instances of the fish breaking off or getting away.
