Trans-Am Legends at Pelican Park | Close 1/24 Scale Pony Car Racing Action

The spirit of American Trans-Am racing lives on at Pelican Park, where iconic muscle cars from the golden era—Mustangs, Camaros, Cudas, Javelins, and more—battle it out in tight, high-intensity 1/24 scale competition. From Bridgehampton and Sebring to Riverside and Watkins Glen, the original Trans-Am series defined close-fought road racing. Today, that same energy is recreated in miniature as builders bring their own detailed and performance-tuned slot cars to the track. In this event, eleven racers answered the call under a Win-to-Get-In format, sorting the field into Main Event contenders, Consolation runners, and a hard-fought Hooligan race. Standout machines included Gary T.’s proven Plymouth Cuda with its reliable “Mona Lisa” chassis, and Cully’s beautifully detailed 1969 Penske Camaro replica. Also in the mix was Gary K.’s striking fantasy-liveried Camaro—both artistic and brutally fast. After a night of close racing across all lanes, the Main Event came down to four drivers: Basil, James, Gary T., and Gary K. When the dust settled, Gary K. emerged as the winner, followed by James, Basil, and Gary T. Another great night of Trans-Am racing at Pelican Park—where the cars may be small, but the competition is real.
