Makah War Clubs
A journey into reviving an ancient weapon of the Makah Tribe. Tucked away in the corner of the Makah Museum (Makah Cultural and Research Center) in Neah Bay, Washington are a some Makah War Clubs. They show three war clubs in the various stages of construction. As a martial artist myself, I overlooked them as a viable weapon just because they were so small. Years later after actually holding one in my hand I finally realized the potential of the weapon as a killing machine. A lanyard was put on the weapon so that in battle you could still hold the weapon after it had gotten bloody. I haven't tried dipping the weapon in blood yet but it sounds like a great way to further test the design of the weapon. If I can find some blood, that will be my next video.
