Fly Tying the Muir Boatman Stillwater Fly Pattern for Trout - Piscator Flies Episode 76

The Muir Boatman is a pattern I use on lakes and other still waters during the early spring and in the fall when mating occurs. The boatman can be seen and heard smacking into the water and I don't mind when the fly plops into the water. I let the fly fully sink before using a series of quick short strips to retrieve the fly.
