Rescue workers have been deployed throughout the area to prepare for potential casualties, and barrier nets and emergency treatment centers are being operated to prevent jellyfish stings. With the start of summer gradually arriving earlier and late summer heat expected to continue until September, Haeundae Beach will remain open until September 15th this year. This marks the second time the beach has operated until September, following last year. Over 9,994,000 people visited Haeundae Beach last year. Busan City aims to attract an additional 5,000 tourists this year to challenge for the nation's first "10 Million Beach" record. Busan's Gwangalli Beach, which ranks third in visitor numbers among domestic beaches, will also open on the 1st of next month. In addition, major beaches across the country, including Daecheon Beach in South Chungcheong Province and Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung, are scheduled to open sequentially starting in July.
