Eastleigh Lakeside Railway -End of Season Gala- 30/9/2024

This gala was in fact a substitute. Why? Because it was intended as a Surrey Borders and Camberley Weekend, or an equivalent to a Strictly Bullock Gala. However due to internal issues which are not disclosed, this has been postponed to the 2nd-5th May 2025. Although, 1003, "Western Queen", was launched into service for the weekend after an extensive restoration. Filmed on the 29th September, the Sunday, it featured 7 steam locomotives and a diesel and Battery Loco making it 9 locos. These locos were: Lion, (Visiting), John H Gretton, (first visit to another railway in over 40 years), 1003 Western Queen, 102, (From the Simkins family), 35004 Cunard White Star, David Curwen, Taw, Thunderbolt, & Florence.
