Horn In The West Outdoor Drama
Carl visits a Horn In The West performance in Boone, North Carolina. This legacy outdoor drama has been performed every summer at the Daniel Boone Amphitheater since 1952—that’s over 70 years! He sits down with William “Billy” Winkler III of the Southern Appalachian Historical Association who speaks on the history and impact of this famed North Carolina tradition. Set during the American Revolution, the outdoor drama opens with the Battle of Alamance in 1771 and closes with the Battle of King's Mountain in 1780. Carl then pays a visit to the Hickory Ridge Living History Museum, which provides the perfect setting for those attending a Horn in the West performance, offering a delightful opportunity to experience the reality of frontier life. The 2022 Horn In The West outdoor drama season runs between July 1st - August 13th. Learn more at www.horninthewest.com
