This time, we're learning how to identify the weakest points around the enemy king. When on the offensive, pinpointing the most vulnerable square near the opponent's king can provide crucial insights for your next moves. Just like in positional chess, recognizing weaknesses can guide our attacks. Once you spot a square that is solely guarded by the enemy king, concentrating more attackers on that square can lead to devastating mating attacks. This video features several instructive examples to illustrate this concept. We analyze the famous game between Bobby Fischer and Pal Benko, as well as the classic encounter between Chigorin and Steinitz. Additionally, we examine how Kasparov skillfully concluded a game. While calculation is always essential, strategically identifying the weakest point around the opponent's king can significantly streamline the calculation process. I'd love to hear your feedback on this video! Don't forget to answer the homework position as well.
