Skeena Pacific #2647 CPKC #101 West, Mile 66.8 Shuswap Sub., Salmon Arm, BC, Canada 2026-06-25
My last train, on this somewhat unproductive day, was caught just west of Salmon Arm, BC. CPKC Train #101 is the hot-shot container train from Toronto, Ontario to Vancouver, British Columbia. CPKC-CP7497 is leading CPKC-CP7491 with CPKC-CP7525 in mid-train. Unusually there was not unit on the rear. The video was taken at the Sandy Point Road grade crossing at Mile 66.8 of the CPKC Shuswap Subdivision in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. If you go to Google, select Maps and paste in 50°44'00.9"N 119°18'52.9"W you'll see the location of the camera for this video. Technical: Recorded with a Canon XA55 4KHD Pro video camera at 1920x1080 resolution and 60 frames per second. It is equipped with an Azden SMX-10 Stereo Microphone mounted inside a Rode Blimp Windshield. A Neewer NW74K 7-Inch 1920x1080 Field Monitor is also used. All equipment is mounted on a custom Neewer camera cage attached to a Canadian Studio Pro Heavy Duty 72" Tripod using a NEEWER GM006 Pro Video Fluid Head. Video is edited, produced and rendered using Cyberlink PowerDirector 2024 Ultimate.
