CNBC & Fox Today On NVIDIA Stock, Micron Stock, SK Hynix, Kimi K3 - NVDA Update Hosts of CNBC and Fox Business discuss NVIDIA, NVIDIA stock (NVDA stock), Micron, Micron stock (MU stock), SK Hynix, SK Hynix stock (SKHY stock), Moonshot AI's new Kimi K3 model, the recent sell-off in chip stocks, and more. Friday was a rough day throughout much of the market, and especially for tech stocks following the release of the Kimi K3 open model from China's Moonshot AI. I have noticed many incorrect assumptions about the new model and its implications for the AI ecosystem. I see multiple similarities between the current narrative around Kimi K3, and the narrative surrounding DeepSeek's R1 model in early 2025. Back then, I mentioned that I expected DeepSeek to result in greater compute demand. That turned out to be correct. I expect the same to be the case for Kimi K3. Lower token cost results in more development, greater inference demand, and subsequently, greater compute demand. The news about the Kimi K3 open model is potentially negative for frontier US modelmakers such as OpenAI and Anthropic, but it is positive for almost every other company in the AI ecosystem. The release of Kimi K3 is actually great for companies like NVIDIA, Micron, SK Hynix, and many others. Looking ahead, we have hyperscale earnings starting this month. Alphabet earnings are scheduled for July 22, 2026. Meta and Microsoft earnings are both scheduled for July 29, 2026. We're still waiting on Amazon to announce their earnings date. Overall, I expect each of the major four hyperscale companies to report strong CapEx guidance this earnings season due to multiple reasons. I continue to be bullish on NVIDIA long-term. NVIDIA has multiple large long-term growth opportunities in front of it. Sovereign AI, enterprise AI, AI-native startups, physical AI, and quantum computing are all large long-term growth opportunities for NVIDIA. Blackwell Ultra has ramped quickly and remains in high demand. Vera Rubin is on track to launch in 2026. We're expecting NVIDIA Groq 3 LPX in the second half of 2026. Then, we're expecting Rubin Ultra in 2027. And later on, we're expecting NVIDIA's Feynman in 2028. We have a clear datacenter product roadmap extending into 2028, and Jensen Huang believes there will be $3T-$4T of global AI factory buildout annually by the end of the decade.
