But what if I told you that compared to Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, they are just "fake heroes"? Don’t believe me? These world-famous characters actually helped defeat the greatest evil in the real world during WWII—the "Austrian painter" and his Third Reich. As protagonists in animated shorts, they helped explain paying taxes for rearmament, helped train millions of soldiers faster thanks to their visual clarity, and took care of completely ridiculing the German dictator. They were so successful that without their existence, the Allies might not have won World War II as quickly.
