European Bisons Are Built for Winter Survival - Eastern Poland

I recorded this video during my visit to Eastern Poland in January 2026. It was cold winter with lots of snow and ice. I was observing European Bisons in those harsh conditions. European bison are exceptionally well-prepared for cold, snowy winters. They develop a thick, triple-layered, and dense fur coat (up to 20,000 hairs per square inch) that insulates them against freezing temperatures and, in some cases, allows snow to accumulate on their back without melting.
