Today I unintentionally escaped the rain to Taipei, Taiwan. The weather is really unpredictable, pouring non-stop, ruining my original plans. But since I'm already here in Taipei, I can't just sit idle in my room, so I had to find something to do. Then it struck me! Since it's raining and it's cool, why not try an ear spa? I've heard that Taiwan is famous for its ear spas, with numerous shops and unique ear cleaning techniques that you can't find anywhere else. So, I whipped out my phone and started looking for an ear spa nearby. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on my side as all the popular spots were full! I called to book a slot and every place was booked solid... seems like everyone else had the same idea to escape the rain for an ear spa. But finally, luck was on our side! We found a small ear spa with an available slot and great reviews. We didn't hesitate and rushed there immediately. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was extremely relaxing, with a gentle fragrance and soft music, and the staff were delightful and welcoming. After changing into a robe, I lay down on a soft bed ready for a traditional Taiwanese ear spa experience! The technician was incredibly gentle. She used strange tools I had never seen before to meticulously clean, pick, and scrape, adding in massages around the ear, making it supremely relaxing—I even fell asleep! But the peak moment was that she spent three hours cleaning my ears! She was so thorough, getting every nook and cranny, leaving my ears feeling clean and refreshed as if they were brand new! It was definitely worth the wait and every penny spent. For anyone visiting Taiwan, I highly recommend trying an ear spa at least once. It's a unique, relaxing, and satisfying experience, especially on a rainy day when you're unsure what else to do. A perfect option!
