Opposition legislators harshly criticized Morena for allowing deputies and senators to request leaves of absence to participate in the internal processes leading up to the 2027 gubernatorial elections. During a panel discussion, they pointed out that several legislators are abandoning their responsibilities to begin activities they described as premature campaigning. Vianey García questioned why legislators continue to collect their salaries while leaving pending matters in Congress and accused Morena of repeating the practices of old-style politics. For her part, Claudia Anaya called the neglect of legislative work irresponsible, citing as an example the Bicameral Commission on National Security, which was left without leadership just hours after its installation. Laura Ballesteros argued that this phenomenon occurs in all parties and accused the opposition of hypocrisy for singling out Morena. She also maintained that the underlying problem is the lack of results from governments and the public's disenchantment with the political class in general.
