Hotel Review - Best Western Grant Park, Chicago IL

First things first, obviously the "horror movie" thing is exaggerated. Granted, the public areas of the hotel were in pretty poor shape and looked fairly creepy, but the portion of the video made to look like a horror movie trailer is just a joke. Anyway, back when I was in Chicago for a conference in February, I was provided accommodations at this hotel. I wasn't impressed at all. Along with the creepy public areas of the hotel, I was given a room that had an awful mix of musty, stale air and cigarette odor. I then moved to a second room that didn't have the cigarette odor (though it still smelled a bit musty). However, the second room also had some basic maintenance issues. Until they renovate the property (and the manager says that they're about to start), I'd stay away from this property if possible. That being said, it's still doable.
