The New Rise is a facelifted version of the Hyundai Sonata. The changes are more significant than typical facelifts, particularly the interior and exterior design. The exterior looks significantly better than it did at the launch. Its face bears a striking resemblance to the Grandeur IG. So, it feels different than it did at the launch. The interior has a more luxurious trim level, even with the full options, and the center fascia has been upgraded. Even the buttons and dials have been redesigned. Compared to the plain design of the previous LF, the center fascia looks much better. This is my first time driving the LF 2.0 CVVL, and the ride quality is better than I expected. For a base engine, the quietness, ride quality, and power performance are above average. In terms of power, the 0-200 km/h acceleration is roughly comparable to the SM7 2.5. While it lacks the explosive power of a full-on car, it steadily climbs to higher speeds. The torque and braking performance are as expected. The Smart Sense option is another plus. The test car was a Premium Special trim with all the options included. This would make the price similar to the Grandeur IG Premium trim, which I'd be hesitant to consider. The New Rise is certainly an overall improvement over the existing LF, and as reporter Kim Mi-han mentioned at the end, it seems like the safest choice for those who don't want to worry about which car to buy.
