Will North Dakota State Join the FBS?

Conference realignment has a lot of effects, and one of the effects that doesn't get talked as much about is what happens to the smaller conferences at the FBS level---and at the FCS level. It feels like every time realignment gets brought up, people ask about some prominent FCS schools that could move up. Kennesaw State made the move last year, and Delaware and Missouri State are making the move this year. But none of those teams have had quite the record of success that the four Dakota schools (North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota, South Dakota State) have, especially the Bison and the Jackrabbits. NDSU is an FCS Death Star that mows down everything in its way---and it's been that way for at least the last fifteen years. So of course, they're constantly brought up as potential FBS move-ups whenever that conversation gets started. But the Bison, and by extension the rest of the Dakotas, aren't actually anywhere near as attractive to FBS conferences as they would be if they were located pretty much anywhere else. In this video, I discuss the three main reasons why the Dakota schools will NEVER join the FBS... and three little reasons why they just might, after all.
