The Story of the Dublin Mountains
Dubliners are so lucky to have the Dublin Mountains on their doorstep. A place to take a break from housing estates, business parks and traffic and instead enjoy the mountain air, the wildlife and forest trails for a while. It can feel like a little taste of wilderness – but have you ever wondered about the people who stood in this landscape before us? From the river valleys and foothills to the forests and open mountain tops, people have been using this landscape for thousands of years. Join Dr Sharon Greene of Abarta Heritage in this introduction to the story of the Dublin Mountains. Produced by Abarta Heritage on behalf of South Dublin County Council, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and the Dublin Mountains Partnership, as part of the Dublin Mountains Community Archaeology Project 2021. Supported by the Heritage Council.
