The Battle of Tewkesbury 4 May 1471
Before it was Star Wars Day (May the Fourth Be With You), 4 May was remembered as the date of one of the defining battles of the Wars of the Roses. 2021 sees the 550th anniversary of the moment York and Lancaster settled the question of who would rule England once and for all (at least between these two options). Reputations were forged, young lives lost. Was this date one of the candidates for the end of the Wars of the Roses?
