Gene Clark | Arts Upload
This weekend, the 55th annual Grammy Awards will be handed out. Once again. some Kansas City folks might walk away with a win. Joyce Didonato and the Kansas City Symphony, the Kansas City Chorale, and Pat Metheny all have nominations, but this next story is about someone who never won one. In fact, except for true aficionados, he has largely been forgotten. Gene Clark was a founding member of the Byrds and so beloved that a symposium about him and his music drew fans from around the country in 2014. Here’s another look at a piece which first aired on Arts Upload two years ago. Kansas City PBS - KCPT, Kansas City
