1 NOCHE EN VALLE HERMOSO - LAS LEÑAS [MALARGÜE]

First part of our trip through the south of Mendoza. On this occasion we visit the Pincheiras Castles then we take the Pehuenche international pass and we end in Valle Hermoso, a heavenly place, it is worth the effort of the road to get there. Valle Hermoso is passing Las Leñas, following provincial route 222, which is paved until Las Leñas and then continues on gravel. There are 26 kilometers of gravel in poor condition, crossing several melting streams. After traveling 18 kilometers we arrived at the Valle Hermoso viewpoint. Even without reaching the Valle Hermoso lagoon, it is worth taking the path to the viewpoint. From here the road descends abruptly until reaching the lagoon campsite. The descent is quite complicated but, with care, you can get there in any car. As seen in the video, a Scenic and an Aveo arrived. The campsite is somewhat expensive, it is not a completely wild campsite since it has bathrooms and a restaurant/supply, there is no electricity and to bathe you have to pay extra. Between 24:00 and 01:00 the restaurant closes and the generator set (which makes a lot of noise) turns off. Only the bathrooms have light.
