Do you know the term "Sisyphean task" as a symbol of laborious and futile effort? Come with me to Dancho today. You will see how easily one can lose the results of their daily efforts, into which they have invested years of their intellect, experience, physical work, as well as their personal financial and material resources. BUT! Is Dancho the only one suffering? We all know how useful bees are, and we all know that no one and nothing can survive without them. Surely, we have all heard or read about the excellent effects of honey on our body and health. So I ask: Under the "conditions" that our state "provides" to such last enthusiasts like Dančo, how many representatives of the new generations voluntarily take on this thankless effort and persevere in this craft? And the bear in this story is just a "good" example. In connection with bees, we can talk and talk again - about the destruction of our nature, about monoculture farming on vast areas, about spraying toxic substances in the middle of the day when bees are active, about installing photovoltaic power plants along with toxic sprays to prevent vegetation growth, about the spread of infections and diseases, about other things that, along with the state's zero interest, do not bode well for our beekeeping. Does beekeeping in Bulgaria have a future? Under what conditions, and what can and must we do to ensure it? And if our beekeeping has no future - what future do we have?
