The Nike Free Metcon 6 has been a cross-training shoe that's had a lot of community anticipation around its release. I was a big fan of the OG Nike Free Metcon, and since that model, it's been interesting seeing the ebbs and flows of this shoe line. The Nike Free Metcon 6 has been the most similar regarding its feel to that original model, but that comes with a drawback. I'm torn on the Nike Free Metcon 6. To be honest, I like it more than the past few iterations, but its durability is concerning. When it comes to the feeling of this shoe, its midsole is a little more plush compared to the Free Metcon 4 and 5 which makes it great for sprints, HIIT, and cross-training. My main concern, though, is if this plushness and the reworked rubber outsole, will actually hinder the durability of this model's forefoot. I had issues with my pair when doing heavy sled pushes on turf, so I'm curious to see if others experience this issue, too.
