La Mode : Un Cycle Culturel et Social en Perpétuelle Réinvention | Amélie Zimmermann | TEDxESTPParis
Fashion is much more than clothing. It’s a cultural and social cycle that shapes art, politics, and science. From historical class distinctions to today’s fast-evolving trends, fashion constantly reflects and influences societal values. This talk delves into its profound impact on identity, its role in shaping social frameworks, and how it continuously reinvents itself in response to our need for novelty and self-expression. Amélie Zimmermann, known as "Fashion Quiche" on YouTube and other social media platforms, is a content creator who explores the intersection of fashion, philosophy, and society. Over the past four years, she has gained a following by analyzing contemporary fashion phenomena through a philosophical lens. Amélie is also a freelance writer and editorial designer, working with brands like ARTE, Konbini, and MAD, as well as luxury brands such as Chanel. With her background in contemporary philosophy and fashion studies from the London College of Fashion, Amélie brings a unique, thought-provoking perspective to the fashion world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
