1981 Galaxy (Lasko) 12" Table Fan Model 2150A (Blue, Pointed Blades)

What we see here is a relatively obscure version of the Galaxy/Lasko 2150, this one is blue with pointed blades. It dates to 1981 per the serial number stamped in ink on the base plate. Now this fan actually came to me with a "full fat" (rounded) blade set but I changed it out to a blue pointed blade I had lying around, though I believe the pointed blades are technically still period correct, they were only around for the final year of production for the blue fans as far as I've been able to determine. 1982 was likely the final year for blue, and amber was produced concurrently with it for that year only. Now, the other reason I changed the blade to a pointed set; the pointed blades are quieter; they produce less high frequency band noise during operation, and I did not want to detract from the fact that the motor on this thing absolutely HOWLS. It has probably the loudest motor harmonic I've heard on at least a 12" Lasko. It gets right up to speed as well, I don't think I have another Lasko made oscillator that winds up quite as quickly as this one does.
