Master 90% of Codex in just 15 minutes

Over the last couple of weeks I've switched almost entirely from Claude Code to Codex for my personal coding and productivity work. And in this video I'll show you everything you need to master 90% of Codex in about 15 minutes. We'll go from a blank project to a working spreadsheet, then turn that data into a live website, and finish with Codex's built-in browser agent actually taking action on the web for you. -------------------- Why Codex right now? Three reasons: I think GPT 5.5 on high reasoning is the best model available today Codex's integrated browser works incredibly well with the AI agent the UI (projects, chats, the Goal feature, slash commands) just makes it easy to get work done. This video walks through all of it start to finish, assuming you've never opened Codex before. What I cover in this video: • The Codex interface explained — pinned, projects & chats • Running a productivity task (researching data into a spreadsheet on your computer) • The Goal feature for long-running tasks that keep working until they're done • Turning spreadsheet data into a working directory website • Plugins vs skills — what's built in, what's interoperable, and how to use both • Automations, phone access, and automatic context compaction • The built-in browser agent — reading info AND taking real actions (like filling out forms) -------------------- The browser piece is the part most people haven't seen: Codex can open an in-app browser, search, click, and submit forms on its own — not just pulling information, but taking action. Combine that with the Goal feature and automations and you start to see why this is more than an AI coding tool. This is just scratching the surface — I'm building large, complex codebases in Codex too. -------------------- CHAPTERS 0:00 Why I switched from Claude Code to Codex 1:36 The Codex interface: projects, chats & pinned 3:31 Spreadsheet task + the Goal feature 6:42 Turning data into a live website 7:14 Plugins, skills, automations & phone access 10:41 The built-in browser agent in action
