Joan of Arc is a patron saint of France, honored as a defender of the French nation for her role in the siege of Orléans and her insistence on the coronation of Charles VII of France during the Hundred Years' War. Claiming to be acting under divine guidance, she became a military leader who transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a savior of France. The power of her will and courage is what makes her such a inspiration for me. She was a illiterate teenager girl from a peasant family in northeast France, and yet, she raised the defeated spirit of France, making them want to fight and drive the english out of french territory. And she did just that. Don't give up, keep going and doing what is right, and you will succeed. That is the message that I get when I think about Jeanne d'Arc, the Saint.
