How to Play TFT from a Highroll vs Lowroll Spot

Your decisions should change depending on whether you’re high rolling or low rolling. When you’re high rolling (playing for 1st): • Use HP as a resource • Greed interest on Stage 4–5 • Save gold for higher-level roll downs • Delay items for better quality • Take teamwide combat augments • Deny win conditions that can beat you When you’re low rolling (playing to avoid 8th): • Preserve HP immediately • Spend gold to stabilize • Slam items early • Avoid greedy scaling lines • Take econ/item augments for short-term strength • Deny players contesting your placement, not just your comp Adjusting your mindset based on your spot is one of the biggest differences between average players and consistent top finishers.
